As Austria's largest research and technology organisation for applied research, we are dedicated to make substantial contributions to solving the major challenges of our time, climate change and digitalisation. To achieve our goals, we rely on our specific research, development and technology competencies, which are the basis of our commitment to excellence in all areas. With our open culture of innovation and our motivated, international teams, we are working to position AIT as Austria's leading research institution at the highest international level and to make a positive contribution to the economy and society.

Our Competence Unit "LKR Light Metals Technologies Ranshofen" is offering a Master’s thesis position at our location in Ranshofen. As a subsidiary of the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, LKR is part of the Center for Transport Technologies. The LKR team of around 60 experts is a leader in the development of high-quality light metal alloys, sustainable processing methods, and functionally integrated lightweight components

As part of our Forming Technologies team, you will support us within the framework of our CondOR-EEE research project, focusing on in-situ electrical conductivity measurements. The project aims to improve the energy efficiency of heat treatments in the aluminum industry through intelligent sensor technology.

Master Thesis “Intelligent In-Situ Characterisation of the Heat Treatment of Light Metals”
