An exciting opportunity has arisen for a System Drives Architect (f/m/d). In this position you will participate in the development and maintenance of the embedded software of the Schneider Electric range of System Drives.

Your work field
- In this position, you will work with transversal technical disciplines (control, application software architecture, Cyber Security, Functional Safety, electronics and processors) and collaboratively define the most relevant System Drives architecture, considering their impact on the product design and performance.
- You will specify the development of new functions, validate architecture adequacy with specifications and build the technical solution with support of other experts, considering global system upgrade, Cyber Security, Functional Safety, System Automation integration, Applicative and control functions and human interfaces.
- Be the guarantor of the overall technical solution in terms of robustness, performance and cost and ensure the capitalization of knowledge and know-how and identify opportunities for reuse.
- In addition, you will take the lead in defining test procedures, using the various means available from simulation tools to the laboratory test bench, and collaborate with validation teams.
- You will have interactions with other Schneider Electric entities for integration into the solution or integration of bricks as well as with external partners for the integration of their proprietary bricks.

About you
- The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree within the field of electrical engineering or have an equivalent educational background.
- You should have professional experience and expertise in managing project requirements including embedded software and electronic aspects.
- This position requires in-depth knowledge of power electronic and associated mathematical model, power electronic hardware knowledge, design of control loops as well as implementation in real-time embedded firmware and associated constraints.
- You should also have years of experience in R&D, in functional management and have consolidated knowledge of embedded software engineering.
- You are a team player who listens and values ideas and opinions of other team members. Additionally, you will have the ability to work effectively and communicate proactively in multicultural and multinational teams.
- Your knowledge in system simulation enables you to efficiently collaborate with the departments hardware and firmware design.
- You are fluent in English with excellent verbal and written skills. German language skills are advantageous.
- In addition, you are willing to travel (at home and abroad).

The salary range for this position is above the collective agreement and, depending on training, qualifications and professional experience, will start from 65.000 euros gross annually.
