About the role

We are a renowned company in the cable&wire industry and are looking for a screw developer for our single-screw extruders in Pischelsdorf am Kulm (Styria), Austria. Our offer is aimed at both experienced/versed people and career starters who would like to develop in this direction. Depending on your experience, we will shape your field of work:

• Conception, design and development of screw and grooved barrel geometries for single-screw extruders using the software provided
• Performing analyses and tests to improve the performance and efficiency of extrusion processes (both internally and for our customers)
• Continuous evaluation and optimization of existing systems
• Integration of modern materials and technologies to increase product quality
• Independent analysis of process malfunctions and derivation of improvement measures
• Technical and administrative support for the Director of Extrusion Technology

About you

• An education in plastics technology (HTL/FH/University) or comparable qualification
• Preferably experience in screw development or single-screw extrusion
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a team and strong communication skills
• Good knowledge of English and willingness to travel around the world approx. 20% per year

• You can either let off steam in our in-house Development Center or outside the company. We assure you that you will have a maximum of 20 travel assignments - unless you want more.
• Our Head of Extrusion Technology is your sparring partner. Together with him and his team, you can grow into your new responsibilities step by step.

We determine the salary / wage together with you. The minimum for this position is 3 591,87 EUR gross per month, working full time. (Collective Agreement: Metalltechnische Industrie). If you already have experience, we are prepared to overpay - depending on how many years of professional experience and qualifications you have.
