We are looking for an experienced Vibration Development Engineer (m/f/d) to join our Engine Development Team. In this role, you will play a key part in developing robust, high-performance Gas Engines by driving vibration-related design, analysis, and validation activities across the product lifecycle. Your contribution will directly support innovative engine solutions for the energy transition, including applications for green gases such as Hydrogen.
Your Responsibilities:
- Work within a motivated engineering team to optimize the vibration behavior of large bore reciprocating engines
- Lead and support the end-to-end development of various systems and products, from concept layout through to series production implementation
- Ensure the on-time delivery of technical work packages across multiple simultaneous projects in line with INNIO’s NPI development process
- Develop innovative solutions for new products while also leading technical investigations and the resolution of fleet reliability and quality issues
- Drive cross functional engineering activities across design, simulation, analysis and testing to achieve project goals and ensure robust product vibration behavior
- Manage requirements and technical risks through the effective application of DFMEA and robust Design Validation Plans & Reports (DVP&R)
- Utilize state of the art analysis, measurement and postprocessing tools in the field of vibration engineering
Your Profile:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent
- At least 5 years of professional experience in vibration engineering or a closely related field
- Strong technical interest in vibration behavior and the willingness to deepen expertise in large-bore reciprocating engines
- Comfortable presenting complex technical topics to a wide range of audiences
- Self-starter mentality with hands on capabilities
- Able to work effectively in an international environment, with excellent written and spoken English skills; German is an advantage
- Willingness to travel
- A valid work permit for Austria is a prerequisite for this position (Non-EU citizens: please attach your work permit to the application)
