Our Center for Digital Safety & Security located in Vienna invites applications for an internship. Our Competence Unit for Cooperative Digital Technologies is leading in applied research on the development of data-based IT solutions for various application scenarios, including the design of new and innovative solutions supporting communities in increasing their resilience and achieving their sustainable development goals (SDG). As a reliable partner of industry and public authorities, we work on digital tools for a sustainable and resilient society based on current research results and in collaboration with end users and our customers. The focus of our applications is on climate change impact assessment and the protection of society during crises and disasters.

Specifically, our Sustainable & Resilient Societyteam focuses on IT concepts and systems for enabling data exchange in different domains. Specific focus is put on IT solutions for crisis & disaster management, and sustainability management in communities & companies:

• Under the guidance of our interdisciplinary team, you will support the conceptual design of a data space architecture for product passports.
• You will actively contribute to a cutting-edge research and development project in the emerging field of data spaces and Digital Product Passports (DPP).
• You will learn and gain practical experience with modern technologies such as the Semantic Web stack, Gaia-X frameworks, identity and trust management, verifiable credentials, and EDC connector technologies.

• You support us in our international project and get exciting insights into our technological environment.
