Responsibilities

Planning and implementation of large scale experiments in the Hydraulic Engineering Laboratory including scientific, experimental and measuring design.
Scientific investigations in the field of sediment transport and river morphology, hydraulic engineering.
Publication of the findings in international scientific journals and presentation at national and international conferences.
Processing and analyzing experimental data.

Required skills and qualifications

Diploma degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Physics or other equivalent university degree.
Very good English language skills.
Basic knowledge and experience in planning and implementing hydraulic scale models.
Strong desire to conduct hands-on experimental research in a cutting edge research facility, BOKU River Lab.

Desirable skills and qualifications

Background in environmental and hydraulic engineering.
Basic knowledge of sediment transport processes and river morphology.
Basic knowledge in measurement and test engineering.
Programming skills and experience in data analysis.
Strong interest to earn a PhD degree.
