Offer Description

The Department of Biotechnology and Food Science, Institute of Food Technology is currently seeking a Postgraduate Research Associate.

Extent of employment: 30 hours per week

Duration of employment: as of now, limited to a period of 4 years

Allocation in compliance with the Collective Agreement for University Staff to job group: B1

Gross monthly salary: (depending on previous eligible experience) at least: € 2.832,10 (payable 14 times per year)

Responsibilities

• Research and Teaching in the Working Group Food Technology
• Focus on thermal processes
• Conducting a PhD related to process development in the area of cooking, baking and preservation on food using Ohmic heating is desired
• Related work in the area of food analysis
• Teaching activities

Required skills and qualifications

• Diploma degree in food technology or other equivalent university degree
• Language skills: German and English (both B2)

Desirable skills and qualifications

• Experience with thermal processing and investigation of process-product-interactions
• Knowledge on electrotechnologies applied in food processing
• Experience in process development and design of prototypes
• Didactic skills
