The Department of Landscape, Water and Infrastructure, Institute of Sanitary Engineering and Water Pollution Control is currently seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate.

Extent of employment: 20 hours per week

Duration of employment: 1st of November 2025, limited to 31st of October 2031

Allocation in compliance with the Collective Agreement for University Staff to job group: B1 lit. b

Gross monthly salary: depending on previous eligible experience at least Euro 2.466,50, payable 14 times per year

Responsibilities

• Collaboration in research and teaching at the institute, as well as independent acquisition and implementation of research projects with a focus on process engineering in urban water management
• Collaboration in university administration
• Collaboration in national and international expert committees

Required skills and qualifications

• Doctorate degree or PhD
• Excellent written and spoken German and English language skills
• Knowledge and professional experience in the field of urban water management, particularly in the treatment and processing of water resources, surface runoff and wastewater
• Knowledge and experience in the field of industrial water management
• Experience in planning and operation of pilot plants
• Experience in the acquisition, management and processing of research projects
• Experience in dealing with research partners and the interdisciplinary development and implementation of research projects
• International lecturing and publishing activities

Desired skills and qualifications

• Other languages desirable
• Ability to work in a team, organisational and leadership skills
