Postgraduate Research Associate (project employment) / Reference Code 259

The Department Department of Agricultural Sciences, Institute of Agricultural Engineering and Department of Ecosystem Management, Climate and Biodiversity, Institute of Forest Engineering are currently seeking a Postgraduate Research Associate (project employment).

Extent of employment: 15 hours per week

Duration of employment: 9th of January 2026, limited to 31st of December 2028

Workplace: 1190 Vienna, Peter-Jordan-Straße 82

Allocation in compliance with the Collective Agreement for University Staff to job group: B1

Gross monthly salary: depending on previous eligible experience at least € 1.393,10, payable 14 times per year

Responsibilities

• Creation of lecture and training materials, offline and online, on digital ergonomics
• Publication of project results in journals, popular science and scientific
• Participation in national and international conferences with presentations on project-related topics
• Collaboration in national and international cooperation programs
• Preparation and co-delivery of teaching courses
• Project management

Required skills and qualifications

• Diploma degree in Agriculture, Forestry, Mechanical Engineering, related technical disciplines, or other equivalent university degree
• Language skills: German and English

Desirable skills and qualifications

• Completed diploma program in agriculture and forestry with technical expertise, related technical disciplines, or similar
• Good IT skills, including simulations
• Independence, teamwork, creative problem-solving skills, and communication skills
• Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
• Completion of examinations in occupational science and ergonomics
