Samsung SDI Battery Systems is a global technology leader in e-mobility. Together with our customers in the automotive industry, we develop and test innovative battery systems for automotive applications based on state-of-the-art lithium ion technology.

The technology center of Samsung SDI Battery Systems is located in Kalsdorf, Austria, close to Graz. Samsung SDI is a full-service supplier for lithium ion cells, battery modules and battery packs for all electric vehicles as well as all types of hybrid vehicles.

Your core responsibilities are:

• Lead supplier qualification, audits, process assessments, and capability evaluations.
• Investigate supplier quality issues and Drive quality improvements at suppliers
• Evaluation of feasibility studies from suppliers
• Work closely with Purchasing, Engineering, and Production teams
• Execution of APQP for buy parts based on combined supplier and component risk level
• Planning, execution and approval of PSO and PPAP
• Internal reporting as well as support of program management and quality management for external reporting
• Start of PPAP approvals and alignment between SDI manufacturing plant`s

What you need is:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, or someone with several years of work experience in production (e.g. welding, deep drawing, injection molding, knowledge in measuring processes) and high school diploma
• Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, or Quality Engineering.
• VDA 6.3 auditor certificate and solid Expertise in IATF 16949
• Proficient in AIAG core tools: PPAP, APQP, Control Plans, FMEA, MSA and SPC and problem solving tools (8D, Six Sigma, etc.)
• Advanced knowledge of Casting/ Metal stamping/ Injection Molding/ Extrusion / TIM manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of machining, welding, heat treatment, and surface finishing processes
• Business-fluent English required, German is considered an advantage
• Self-motivated, strong communication skills and social competence
• 70% of labor time travelling based on project phase including oversea business trips

Our offer for you:

With regard to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act, we offer the following annual gross remuneration (full time/38.5 hours) as a basis for negotiations for this position: EUR 65.000,-

We also offer a market-standard overpayment depending on relevant work experience and qualifications.
