Join us in taking commercial leadership of some of the world's most challenging international large-scale infrastructure and energy projects with project values up to hundreds of millions of euros. In this key executive-facing role, you will drive the commercial success of a strategically important project throughout the entire project lifecycle and act as the primary commercial interface for executive management, customer, consortium partners and other key stakeholders.
Your Responsibilities
- Assume overall commercial responsibility for an international mega project with exceptional commercial, contractual and financial complexity.
- Lead and coordinate the Project Controlling, Commercial Management, Contract Management and Risk Management functions within the project to ensure integrated management of costs, cash flow, opportunities and risks.
- Prepare decision papers, business scenarios, commercial assessments and risk evaluations for Executive Management.
- Ensure full transparency of the project's commercial performance and provide regular reporting to Executive Management.
- Represent the company's commercial interests towards customer, consortium partners, suppliers, financial institutions and external advisors.
- Lead complex commercial and contractual negotiations at executive level and represent the company in strategically critical or highly disputed project situations.
- Together with the Project Director, steer the commercial and contractual objectives of the project and support escalation management where required.
- Assess the commercial impact of changes, disruptions and risks on contracts, costs, schedule and cash flow, and initiate appropriate mitigation measures.
- Lead both offensive and defensive claim management, develop robust claim strategies and conduct complex negotiations to protect the company's commercial interests.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance, compliance, export control and risk management requirements throughout project execution.
Your Profile
- University degree in Business Administration, Law or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of experience in a senior commercial leadership role within complex international project business, ideally in the energy, infrastructure, industrial or EPC sectors.
- Strong expertise in Commercial Project Management, Project Controlling, Contract Management including FIDIC, Risk Management and Cash Flow Management.
- Proven experience in leading international multidisciplinary project teams.
- Extensive negotiation experience with customer, consortium partners, suppliers and executive-level stakeholders.
- Excellent understanding of international contract models, claims management, project financing structures, guarantees, insurance and commercial project governance.
- Experience with international financial institutions such as World Bank, AIIB, EIB or similar would be considered an advantage.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical capability and decision-making skills.
- Confident executive presence with the ability to align diverse stakeholder interests, including in challenging and high-pressure project environments.
- Business-fluent English; knowledge of Russian or Farsi would be an advantage.

The annual gross salary for this position is based on the Austrian Collective Agreement for the Metal Industry and amounts to € 66.750. Competitive remuneration above the Collective Agreement is offered depending on qualifications and professional experience.
