The University of Klagenfurt is pleased to announce an open faculty position in the Department of Economics, Analytics and Operations Research within the Faculty of Management, Economics & Law.
This is a full-time position. Whether the position will be implemented as open-ended or limited to 6 years will be decided during the appointment procedure, based on candidate qualifications and experience.
The professorship will be embedded in the Department of Economics, Analytics and Operations Research within the Faculty of Management, Economics & Law. The successful candidate is an internationally recognised scholar with an outstanding publication record in Production and Logistics Management.
Your responsibilities
- Representing the fields of Production and/or Logistics Management in research and teaching
- Representing the Operations Research group in research and teaching
- Teaching in relevant study programmes at Bachelor, Master and Doctoral level in English and German, including supervision of academic theses
- Acquisition and management of competitive research funding
- Collaborating with colleagues across the university and with external partners
- Advising and mentoring students and early career researchers
- Contributing to university governance and academic self-administration
- Engaging in third mission activities and public outreach
Your profile
Required qualifications
- Habilitation or equivalent qualification in Operations Research, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Management Science, Business Administration, or related fields
- Doctoral degree or PhD
- Excellent research standing and publication record in the field of the position
- Teaching experience at university level and didactic competence
- Experience in the acquisition of or willingness to apply for competitive third-party research funding
- Fluency in English

Benefits and application
The successful candidate will establish Klagenfurt as primary place of work. The minimum gross salary for the position is currently EUR 93,986 per year. An attractive relocation tax allowance can be granted for the first five years in the case of appointments to professorships in Austria.
