Samsung SDI Battery Systems is a global technology leader in e-mobility. Together with our customers in the automotive industry, we develop and test innovative battery systems for automotive applications based on state-of-the-art lithium ion technology.

The technology center of Samsung SDI Battery Systems is located in Kalsdorf, Austria, close to Graz. Samsung SDI is a full-service supplier for lithium ion cells, battery modules and battery packs for all electric vehicles as well as all types of hybrid vehicles.

Your core responsibilities are:

As a Working Student: AI x Project Management, you will work at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, automation and Program Management in an international automotive environment.

You will support our Program Management team in developing practical AI solutions that simplify everyday project work, from reporting and meeting summaries to action and risk tracking.

• Support the development of AI-based solutions for Program Management in an automotive battery environment
• Identify opportunities to automate and simplify project management processes, such as project reporting, meeting summaries, action and risk tracking, and management reporting
• Develop and test AI solutions based on LLMs, RAG and AI agents, with the long-term goal of creating an AI-based virtual project assistant
• Analyze existing PM processes together with the team and translate business needs into practical AI solutions and prototypes
• Work closely with Program Managers and technical experts and independently drive assigned topics
• Continuously improve and optimize AI solutions based on user feedback
• Contribute to solutions designed for use with confidential company data in a local/on-premise AI environment

What you need is:

• Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, Engineering or a comparable field
• Strong Python and programming skills and a good understanding of software development and automation
• Practical knowledge of Generative AI / LLMs, ideally including prompt engineering, RAG, APIs and AI agents
• Basic understanding of Project or Program Management, e.g. milestones, actions, risks, issues, dependencies and status reporting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on and solution-oriented mindset
• High degree of independence, initiative and curiosity with the ability to structure tasks and drive topics forward
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical experts and Program Managers
• Previous experience in the automotive, battery or industrial environment is an advantage
• Very good English skills, both written and spoken, German skills are an advantage
