Key Tasks

The ATM Tower Operations department focuses on the implementation and operation of modern tower solutions for safe and efficient air traffic control. This includes integrated information, decision-support, and control systems, as well as video-based digital tower solutions.

• Strategic Leadership: Operational and strategic leadership of the teams, aligned with the corporate vision and business unit goals.
• Project Portfolio Management: Setup and oversight of international projects for BU Towers and long-term customer retention through the maintenance phase.
• Budget and Results Responsibility: Planning and control of resources, tasks and budgets, including transparent reporting to senior management.
• Performance and Optimization: Planning, implementation and tracking of measures to achieve targets and optimize cost, quality and efficiency.
• Stakeholder Management: Coordination of internal and external resources and confident management of escalations.
• Talent and Resource Management: Continuous development of yourself and your teams, identification of key talent and creation of a motivating work environment.
• Risk Management and Compliance: Evaluation of opportunities and risks and ensuring compliance with legal guidelines and internal regulations.

Key Qualifications

• Academic Foundation: University degree, for example in Technology, Engineering, Aviation, Business or IT, and project certification for IPMA, PMI and/or PRINCE2.
• Proven Leadership: Several years of leadership experience in a corporate environment, ideally within Air Traffic Management and/or the software industry.
• Business Mindset: Entrepreneurial thinking and business acumen for managing KPIs and budgets.
• Resilient Personality: Structured approach, calm composure in critical situations, high commitment and hands-on mentality.
• Strong Communication: Business fluent English and confidence in representing complex issues to various stakeholders.
• Strategic Foresight: Ability to identify industry trends early and translate them into operational department practice.

Salary

The remuneration starts from EUR 90,000 gross per year for this position and consists of the collective agreement minimum salary based on a 38.5 hour week plus an overpayment in line with the market depending on professional qualifications and experience.
