Strategic/Operational Buyer - Indirect Procurement (m/f/x)

Our client is a highly successful, globally leading industrial company in the mechanical engineering sector based in the greater Linz area. We are currently looking for an experienced buyer to support the team.

Your Responsibilities

• Act as the liaison between Purchasing, business units, the CIP team, and all relevant departments in the DACH region
• Processing material and demand requests, as well as managing existing suppliers in indirect procurement (services)
• Conducting requests for proposals, price negotiations, and agreeing on delivery and payment terms
• Further development of product groups and suppliers, including the implementation and monitoring of cost-saving opportunities
• Ensuring the operational processing of orders in SAP, including deadline monitoring and invoice verification
• Managing and maintaining master data such as the material master, info records, and order books
• Supporting tenders, internal projects, and contract and approval processes
• Supporting business units as a sounding board

Your Profile

• Completed education (apprenticeship, HTL, HAK, university/university of applied sciences)
• Several years of experience in strategic or operational procurement, ideally in the area of indirect procurement, particularly services
• Strong negotiation skills and a deep understanding of costs and processes
• Very good knowledge of MS Office and SAP
• Excellent written and spoken German and English
• Ability to work independently, in a structured manner, and with a strong sense of responsibility
• Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and a confident and professional demeanor
• Strong teamwork skills, flexibility, and a willingness to continuously develop
• Excellent analytical skills, as well as strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently, enthusiasm, and flexibility

This position offers a gross salary starting at 3,802.93 euros per month (full-time)!
