AI Platform Developer (f/m/d) - Maternity Leave Cover (14 months)

We are looking for an AI Platform Developer to help build new features for our internal enterprise AI platform. The platform provides conversational AI, coding assistance, document processing, enterprise search, image generation and custom AI assistants to users across the company.

By delivering new capabilities, you will have a direct impact on a company-wide product used by a broad internal audience. You will work closely with cloud, security, product and business teams, as well as collaborate with developers from other countries.

• Take ownership of developing and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI while contributing to modern frontend features with React, Next.js, and TypeScript
• Drive the implementation of new features for our enterprise AI platform, integrating state-of-the-art AI models such as Gemini, Claude, OpenAI models, and similar technologies
• Design and implement AI workflows, custom tools, MCP integrations, retrieval-augmented solutions, and guardrails to ensure reliable and secure generative AI applications
• Collaborate closely with local and international development, platform, security, and business teams to deliver innovative AI solutions

• Do you have several years of professional experience in software development with a strong focus on Python, FastAPI (or a similar framework), and building production-ready backend services and REST APIs?
• Are you experienced in writing clean, typed, well-tested, and maintainable code, using modern development practices and tools such as Git, CI/CD, automated testing, containerization, dependency management, and code-quality tooling?
• Do you have experience with Generative AI technologies, such as integrating LLMs, building AI workflows, RAG solutions, MCP integrations, or implementing AI guardrails? 
• Are you comfortable working independently, communicating effectively in English, and collaborating with international, cross-functional teams?

According to the collective agreement for the telecommunications industry, this position carries a minimum gross monthly salary of
€ 3.803,99 based on full-time employment (38.5 hours per week).
We will discuss your actual salary with you in person, taking into account your individual qualifications and professional experience. You can expect an attractive offer that exceeds the minimum stipulated by the agreement.
