Manager, Mechanical Manufacturing and Assembly (m/f/x)

Your Responsibilities

• Overall operational and strategic responsibility for the Mechanical Production and Assembly division as well as Surface Finishing (comprising 200 employees)
• Independent planning, organization, and monitoring of production processes
• Ensuring that targets for productivity, quality, costs, and on-time delivery are met
• Providing technical and disciplinary leadership to assigned team leaders and the production team (including identifying training and personnel development initiatives)
• Ensuring the availability of necessary machinery, equipment, and resources
• Continuous process improvement (CIP, LEAN management), including the introduction of new technologies, automation, and digitization
• Coordination and liaison with adjacent departments, such as Quality Management (QM), Logistics, Engineering, and AV/Production, as well as active shop floor management
• Budget and resource planning, investment planning, and their implementation
• Ensuring compliance with all occupational safety, health, and environmental regulations, as well as applicable standards
• Production controlling – operational data collection – performance levels, productivity, on-time delivery, and customer complaints

Your Profile

• Completed technical training (e.g., master craftsman or technician certification, degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, operations management, or comparable training)
• Several years of professional experience in production management or a similar field
• Ideally, experience in a metalworking company in the areas of production assembly, plant engineering, mechanical engineering, or painting
• Knowledge of lean management, ERP/MES/PPS systems, and digital manufacturing solutions
• An assertive, solution-oriented, and at the same time respectful leader with a strong presence on the production floor
• Very good written and spoken German and good written and spoken English

The minimum salary for this position under the collective bargaining agreement is 77,000.00 euros gross per year for a 38.5-hour workweek.
