Description of Job Duties:

Handle customer and supplier concerns; lead the warranty management process; decide about corrective actions; cooperate with root cause analysis, and verify corrective actions; NTF implementation if needed.
Identify/verify new or changed customer requirements within scope of responsibility and pass information on to Quality Manager (in cooperation with BD, SM, DE, and QM).
Implement new or changed customer requirements into the organization in cooperation with QM
Control and/or supervise the compliance with customer requirements (in cooperation with BD, QM, MAN)
Initiate corrective actions in case of deviations from Specifications (e.g. corrections, arrangement with customer releases, stop of production line, etc.)
Evaluate statistical data (SPC, rework & scrap) to determine and maintain quality of products
Prepare and update quality related customer specific and internal documents for APQP and PPAP (e.g., flow charts, control plan, FMEA, MSA, dimensioning report, SPC, etc.) and introduce it to the involved employees; verify PPAPs, dimensional reports, and capability studies
Support and set up quality related agreements during APQP and PPAP processes with suppliers
Set up, coordinate, and control rework operations for merchandise parts; supports the set up, coordination and control of rework operations for production parts in accordance with MAN; decides and approves product quality
Perform internal process audits according to audit plan
Approve product audit plans; in particular applies economical reasoning
Prepare all documents for Process Audits required by our customers in cooperation with Sales, BD
Plan and perform required training in regards to new or changed customer requirements in cooperation with QM and QMA
Support Quality Technician personnel in writing measuring programs for test equipment and designing of fixtures for test equipment (CMM, Zwick, etc.)
Work in a harmonious manner, accept supervision and directions, and interact in a cooperative and professional manner with the Management, co-workers, and internal and external customers, staff, vendors, and contractors.

Education and/or Experience/Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Manufacturing and/or Quality Engineer Certification
5 years Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Experience of mechanical or electro/mechanical components
Practical experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, and MSA
Customer and/or Supplier Quality Experience
Experience in Project and Process Management
Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Knowledge of IATF16949 Standards
Experience with team oriented problem-solving methods (8-D method)
Knowledge of plastic processing
Practical experience with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) including programming
Knowledge of statistical and inspection measuring software
Experience with Blue print reading and Geometric dimensioning and tolerance
Practical experience with managing significant characteristics
Strong Communication skills
Strong Analytical skills

In Karlstein an der Thaya, im nördlichen Waldviertel, verlassen jedes Jahr über 207 Millionen Teile die Werke von Pollmann. Sie stecken in Schiebedächern, Türen und Antrieben von Autos auf der ganzen Welt. Die Pollmann Austria GmbH ist die operative österreichische Gesellschaft dieses Familienunternehmens, das hier seit 1888 fertigt. Wer hier arbeitet, sieht das Ergebnis seiner Arbeit später auf der Straße.

Hergestellt werden mechatronische Baugruppen für die Automobilindustrie. Das klingt abstrakt, ist es aber nicht: Wenn sich ein Schiebedach öffnet oder ein elektrischer Antrieb im Fahrzeug Strom bekommt, stecken dahinter häufig Kontaktsysteme und Kunststoff-Metall-Verbindungen aus Karlstein. Dazu kommen Stanz- und Drehteile, Kunststoffspritzguss und ein eigener Werkzeugbau. Entwicklung, Prototypenbau und Automatisierungstechnik sitzen am selben Standort. Ein Bauteil entsteht hier also von der ersten Zeichnung bis zur Serienfertigung.

Nach Unternehmensangaben sind 93 Prozent aller namhaften Automarken weltweit mit Teilen von Pollmann bestückt, die Exportquote lag 2025 bei über 86 Prozent (pollmann.at, abgerufen am 10.08.2026). Zur Gruppe gehören über 1.200 Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter an fünf Standorten auf drei Kontinenten; neben Österreich wird in Tschechien, in den USA und in China produziert. Karlstein ist dabei der Ursprung und das Zentrum geblieben. Hier sitzt die Entwicklung, hier steht der Werkzeugbau, hier arbeitet der größte Teil der österreichischen Belegschaft. Für Österreich werden rund 550 Beschäftigte genannt (Wikipedia, Stand Jänner 2026); eine getrennte Beschäftigtenzahl allein für die Pollmann Austria GmbH veröffentlicht das Unternehmen nicht. Als die Produktion im nahen Vitis 2025 nach Karlstein verlagert wurde, wurden alle 71 Beschäftigten übernommen.

Die Pollmann Austria GmbH mit Sitz in Karlstein steht zu hundert Prozent im Eigentum der Pollmann International GmbH, die das Unternehmen als Familienbetrieb führt. Für Bewerberinnen und Bewerber bedeutet das eine Kombination, die im Waldviertel selten ist: ein Arbeitsplatz in einer Region mit überschaubarem Arbeitsmarkt, aber mit Kunden und Schwesterwerken rund um den Globus.

Die Tätigkeitsfelder sind entsprechend breit. An den Maschinen arbeiten Maschinenbediener und Produktionstechniker in der Kunststoff- und Metallverarbeitung, in den Büros führen Projektleiter Kundenprojekte und betreuen IT-Fachleute die SAP-Fertigungssteuerung. Für Absolventinnen und Absolventen von HTL, FH und Universität gibt es ein eigenes Trainee-Programm.

Besonderes Gewicht liegt auf der Lehre. Derzeit beschäftigt Pollmann 25 Lehrlinge in acht Lehrberufen, von der Kunststoffverfahrenstechnik bis zur Mechatronik. Die besten eines Jahrgangs können über das Programm "Fit for International" Zeit an einem der ausländischen Standorte verbringen. Ausgezeichnet wurde Pollmann zuletzt zum dritten Mal in Folge als "Leading Employer" und zählt damit laut der zugrunde liegenden Studie zum obersten Prozent der österreichischen Arbeitgeber.
