As a Senior AI Engineer, you will design and implement AI-enabled workflows in a modern, cloud-driven environment. From tailored agentic systems to the environments they run on, you will transform customers' business processes in the era of AI.
When joining Tieto Tech Consulting as a Senior AI Engineer (m/f/d), you
- Design and build AI agents and workflows that solve concrete business problems
- Take technical ownership of applied AI solutions, from architecture decisions to engineering standards and code quality
- Build enterprise-grade solutions on modern AI platforms, mainly Azure
- Set up environments to operate agentic workloads at scale, including GenAIOps, CI/CD, observability, systematic evaluation, and cost control
- Work with customer data landscapes, data pipelines, retrieval, data quality, sensitive data handling and access control
- Integrate AI solutions into existing IT landscapes and hand them over cleanly to operations teams
- Support pre-sales with technical scoping and effort estimates, workshops and training
- Grow the team through code reviews, knowledge sharing and technical mentoring
Who we are looking for
- Hands-on experience building and deploying AI solutions in production
- Practical experience with LLM-based systems such as RAG, agents, or comparable applied GenAI work
- Strong software engineering skills in Python, including testing, code structure, APIs, and CI/CD
- Good understanding of cloud-based AI architectures and production environments, preferably Azure
- Good understanding of data engineering and integration concepts
- Structured approach to quality and systematic evaluation
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Professional working proficiency in German and English
Nice to have
- Experience with Azure AI services and GenAIOps or MLOps tooling
- Background in classical machine learning such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn
- Previous experience in consulting or customer-facing technology projects
- Experience with AI governance or model evaluation
- Experience mentoring engineers or owning technical workstreams

The annual gross salary for this position starts from EUR 75,000.00 on a full-time basis, depending on qualifications and experience.
